Rob Kennett obtained his Bachelor of Laws degree at the University of Adelaide in 1980. He became a partner of Kelly & Co. in 1984 and is head of the firm's IP & IT team. Rob specialises in intellectual property, technology, commercial litigation and corporate law. He is a trained negotiator and qualified mediator and has broad experience in acting for technology, media, manufacturing and resources companies. He regularly acts in large intellectual property disputes, technology transfer and commercialisation matters. He has recently handled a large intellectual property dispute arising out of the sale of one of South Australia's largest manufacturing businesses. Rob's extensive commercial litigation and dispute resolution experience includes contractual, misrepresentation, trade practices and injunctive actions. He acts for energy and resources companies, banks and financiers, and construction, technology and media companies in major disputes. Rob is a high profile lawyer in the fields of intellectual property, technology and electronic commerce law. He is a foundation board member of the Technology Industry Association and a former board member of the Playford Centre and the Information Economy Advisory Council of the South Australian Government. |
